Quality Walnut Kipp Stewart/Stewart MacDougall Hiboy Dresser w/ Hidden Mirror

Categories: , ,

This Drexel Declaration dresser is an American vintage masterpiece by Mid Century Modern design luminaries, Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall. Produced in the late 1950s by Drexel. Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart partnered with Drexel Heritage to design Declaration, a modern collection in natural walnut. Now a highly collectible mid-century modern furniture line. This piece is a work of art in it’s own right.

This hiboy dresser has crisp, clean lines combined with wonderful quality construction. White porcelain pulls with brass stems enhance the facades of the 4 lower drawers of the unit (2 slender, 2 large). Three more drawers lie behind the credenza style cabinet door on the left, an open cubby with one shelf and a pull out drawer for jewelry, watches, coins and a flip up mirror on the right. All drawers are wood frame construction with dovetail joints. Although walnut, in vintage condition, the tone of the wood is similar to teak. Truly remarkable heirloom pieces.

Please note we also just listed the matching 10 drawer low boy dresser and pair of bedside tables – each are in separate ads.

In wonderful vintage condition with minimal signs of use. Dimensions: 42″W x 20″D x 47″H.
