Sight Light Floor Lamp Brass and Black Enamel by M.G. Wheeler

Category:

This rare floor model version of the oft sought after “Sight Light”, manufactured in the 1950s by M.G. Wheeler. This is in absolutely amazing condition – near mint and hard to imagine where it lived so safely all these past 60+ years! Featuring a clever felted friction mechanism for the telescoping height adjustment that simply allows you to raise or lower or even swivel the lamp head to the desired position by hand. The lamp is comprised of brushed brass that shows some minor darkening where it was often handled, and black enameled steel accents with a subtle texture akin to the grain in leather. Note the lamp shade finial is matched by the cap on the brass stand. The upper shade unclips to allow access for changing the bulb. The lamp uses a standard base light bulb, either 60 watts max if incandescent, or any wattage if LED or florescent, and is wired for North American electrical standards. Please note the dimensions below are for the lamp at it’s highest position. The lamp shade itself has a 12.5″ diameter and is 8.5″ H.
