Killer set of 6 Kurt Ostervig TEAK DINING CHAIRS rich patina

Category:

This killer set of 6 Danish Modern teak dining chairs were designed by Kurt Ostervig for Brande Mobelindustri in the 1960s. Similar to Hans Wegner’s cow horn chair, Ostervig decided to feature the joinery of the two halves of the back rest with oval wood joints that are super striking and exemplify the high level of quality and craftsmanship of this design. The entire chair is solid teak, the backrest curving perfectly for comfort and flaring out from the two back struts. Subtle quality detailing throughout – such as the bow tie shaped back struts, and the way the side struts dip below the back of the seats, giving them a sense of a floating seat. The grain on these dining chairs is truly spectacular, and the rich patina really makes the wood glow. Just deeply cleaned and oiled to bring out the grain without eliminating the patina, they were also reglued and reupholstered with new foam and a neutral cream speckle tweed. In stellar condition.

PLEASE NOTE OUR POLICY: if you purchase a set of dining chairs with a dining table, we deduct 10% off the cost of the chairs.

$4995/set of 6.
