Aksel Kjersgaard Rare Teak Vanity with Tri-Fold Floating Mirror

Category:

This rare Danish Modern teak architectural vanity was designed by Aksel Kjersgaard for Odder in the 1960s. Featuring quality construction with 3 drawers with birch frame construction and dovetail joins, finished with lovely sculptural teak knobs. The tri-fold mirror appears to be floating, on the thin aluminum rods that support it. The vertical brace behind the mirror has two clever teak cylinders that slide along a track, allowing you to choose the angle of the side mirrors, which can also be closed when not in use. Airy, open and architectural, it would surely be a pleasure daily to use this dressing table! Branded with the maker’s mark beneath the tabletop. Professionally restored throughout and in gorgeous condition. Aluminum rods and mirror section are removable for safe and affordable shipping.
